GP2 organizers have revealed that at this weekend's event at Magny Cours, the GP2 paddock will be open to the public on Friday (17:00 to 19:00) and Saturday (18:00 to 19:00).

Trident Racing team principal, Alessandro Alunni Bravi, is delighted with the initiative: "I wish to thank the Gp2 Series Organizers and FOM for this important initiative, which allows the fans to take a closer look to GP2 protagonists, to look at the teams working without barriers, to admire our cars, to live all the motorsport emotions not just from the grandstands as spectators but more as protagonists.

"This novelty compare us to other motorsports such as Superbike and DTM, which made the contact with the public and their paddock opening not just an image or a 'to be nice' choice but a precise marketing and promotion strategy. A wider public involvement and an easier access for teams guests and partner are the best promotion instrument, which reward our sponsors and attract new investors.

"Let us hope that Magny Cours will not represent just a single case throughout the season: I know the Organizers keep great attention to all the category promotional aspects this support being very important for the participating teams. To our fans I say: come to visit us, our drivers will be at your disposal to sign autographs and give away Trident Racing official photocards."
