There were just two teams, and three drivers, in action at Jerez today, as preparations for the back-to-back German and Hungarian Grands Prix got underway.

Pedro de la Rosa, who looks certain to retain his seat for the forthcoming races, concentrated on a new aero package in addition to general set-up work, while Gary Paffett focussed on tyres as well as set-ups. The duo also carried out some engine evaluations in addition to trying out a new front wing to be introduced at Hockenheim.

The Woking duo was joined by Alex Wurz, who drove the WilliamsF1 FW28.

"We started with some useful suspension work this morning followed by tyre construction tests this afternoon," revealed test team manager, Mike Condliffe. "It will be much busier tomorrow with a full pit lane. Alex will again be at the wheel of the FW28."
