For the third round of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport A1 Team Netherlands has travelled to Beijing. A narrow and challenging street circuit has been constructed in the Chinese capitol, with a length of 3.1 kilometer. The circuit has got 8 turns, amongst which is a very narrow hairpin and a double chicane.

For A1 Team Netherlands there is the challenge to achieve a good result in the first of two streetraces this season. Afer two races the team is in eighth place with nine points.

A1 Team Netherlands driver Jeroen Bleekemolen has got some experience with racing on street circuits, amongst others he finished in third with the Clio V6 race in Monaco. But, just like any other driver this track in the A1GP car is completely new to him. "I have got quite high expectations. We have done a lot of homework since the last race. Furthermore I just like streetraces. I think we have got a good chance here. The circuit itself is quite tricky, there are some fast sections and lots of different types of asphalt. It is also very bumpy, so quite a difficult track. But, that is good. The harder the track, the more chance we have got. It will be a exciting and close race. On a track like this anything can happen, it is going to be very spectacular".

A1 Team Netherlands Rookie driver Renger van der Zande (right) will make his debut on a street circuit tomorrow. During the special Rookie sessions of 2 times 25 minutes Van der Zande will see action: "It all looks very cool, the circuit is really like a street circuit should be, very narrow and tricky. But you have to watch out. I hope to gather as much information for Jeroen and the team for qualifying, so that we will be in the top of the field this weekend".
