Insomnia sufferers in Great Britain are in for some good news.

As part of the deal whereby Sky allows a terrestrial channel to show 'highlights' of A1 GP races, British broadcaster Five is to show coverage of last weekend's Beijing race at 05.20 tomorrow morning (Thursday).

That's five-twenty in the morning!

Following problems with the track layout, loose manhole covers, errant flat-bed recovery vehicles and doctors who thought they were there to recover cars, both races eventually took place, though much of the Sprint Race had an Audi leading.

Those of you who can think of nothing better than to get out of bed at an ungodly hour on a cold November Thursday morning should look away now...

Italy won the Feature Race from Great Britain and Australia, with Netherlands, which won the Sprint Race, and led much of the Feature Race, spinning off ten laps from the end.
