With former Test Team Manager Mike Condliffe having left the team, Williams stalwart Dickie Stanford has taken over the role of managing the Grove outfit's test team.

Stanford was the British team's Race Team Manager for twelve years, having originally joined in 1985, when he worked with Nigel Mansell. At the end of 2005 he stepped down to take a factory-based backroom role.

The exact reasons for Condliffe's departure are unclear, the Englishman having last worked with the team in Barcelona. This week, when Williams arrived in Valencia, Stanford was back in control.
