Toyota has been fined 2,000 euros (£1370) after allowing Jarno Trulli to drive down the pitlane at Albert Park during qualifying with a rear wheel jack still attached to his car.

The jack trailed the Italian as he headed off down the pitlane, finally falling free when he accelerated out on to the track.

At the time it was feared that the jack might have damaged Trulli's car, thereby compromising his qualifying session. However, the Italian went on to qualify in eighth for tomorrow's race.
