Team Lebanon makes its final trip of the season to the Brands Hatch Circuit in Kent, UK, for the concluding round of the 2007/08 season of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. Lebanese driver Khalil Beschir will be back behind the wheel this weekend, as he returns to the venue where he and the team made their debut back in 2005.

In the run up to the Brands Hatch preparations, A1 team Lebanon and Khalil Beschir joined all of the 21 nations in A1GP as they made a pit stop on Regent Street. All of the A1GP cars were lined up in grid formation for visitors to get up close to the powerful 550bhp cars, 14 of the nations were represented on the main stage to be interviewed by the series commentators.

A1 Team Lebanon driver Khalil Beschir who was at the event commented, "The Regent Street event was great fun, there were plenty of visitors, and a really good atmosphere. I was pleased we could meet with some of the fans and hopefully make new ones in the process, who will come and watch at Brands Hatch."

After Sunday's pit stop in London, the A1GP series now moves onto the Brands Hatch Circuit, in Kent on the 3rd/4th May. The nine corner Grand Prix configuration, used by A1GP, runs in a clockwise direction over 2.301 miles (3.703 km) and is a firm favourite amongst the drivers. The track is steeped in history after being around since 1926 when it was first used for grass bike racing before becoming a popular Grand Prix venue. The track has starred in all three seasons of A1GP, after the first ever race was held there in 2005 in front of a crowd of 72,000 people.

A1 Team Lebanon driver Khalil Beschir commented ahead of this weekends racing, "it's great to be back in Lebanese car and driving for my nation, especially for the last race of the season. This has been a tough year for A1 Team Lebanon and even though we have come close, we still haven't scored our elusive first point in the series. I really hope that this weekend I can finally get Lebanon on the A1GP score sheet, the fans are so supportive of me and the team, I just really want to get some points to reward them for their dedication.

"The Brands Hatch Circuit is a great challenge for a driver, it's really technical and fun to drive, however I haven't been in the car for the last two race meetings, so I'll need to get back up to speed during Friday practice. We have a great technical team here, and I have experience of the Brands Hatch Circuit from racing here in year one, so we'll be working hard to pull this together ready for Sunday's race."
