Satrio Hermanto is to return to race driving duties for A1 Team Indonesia at this weekend's A1GP championship finale at Brands Hatch.

Team-mate Zahir Ali has been preferred to Hermanto in the last two meetings, scoring Indonesia's first three points of the season.

However, Hermanto's knowledge of the challenging 2.3-mile circuit in Great Britain has given him the edge to return to the cockpit this weekend. The 24-year-old scored his best ever A1GP result here last season, with 10th place in the Feature race.

"We know that it won't be easy for the team to continue the run of points finishes as this is one of the toughest race venues, but we will strive for the best and we know we have the potential to be racing for points," said seat holder Bagoes Hermanto.

"Satrio loves this circuit, and with his track knowledge and having been in the points here last time I believe he can do a very good job for us."

Satrio says he has been training hard for this event.

"It's a great feeling to be back in the car for this weekend," he said. "I've been out for a couple of races, but I'm in good shape and fully fit for Brands Hatch. Last year I collected the team's first point of the season.

"We'd had to wait until the last round but finally we got it. This season we've already scored points which is good progress and I'm looking to add to the final result."
