The iSport team leaves this week for Turkey for round 3 of the GP2 Series. This year the team are taking a different route and flying to Sabiha Gokcen airport which is much nearer to the track. Traffic is always a problem when visiting Istanbul so it's important to stay on the Asian side of the Bhosphorus to avoid the 2 hour journey from the other side of the bridge.

"Istanbul Park is the only anti clockwise circuit on the GP2 calendar so it is especially hard on the drivers, says iSport Engineer Richard Selwin. It's a demanding circuit with a difficult mix of high and low speed sections. Turn 8 is a big challenge for the drivers".

There are some good places to overtake according to Richard. "There are some opportunities to overtake at this circuit, after the long back straight and into the first corner are the main ones. We are using the medium compound tyre and it should be a lot warmer than last year so strategy and tyre wear will be an important factor".

After last year's race at Istanbul Park iSport will be looking for an incident free race after Bruno Senna hit a stray dog which got onto the track ending his race. iSport currently lies 8th in the team standings after scoring no points in Monaco so both drivers will be looking to get back on track in Turkey.
