Dutch driver Giedo van der Garde will race for the Spanish Barwa Addax Team in the 2010 GP2 Series.
After excellent results and a positive outing during the official GP2 test in Jerez the team decided to sign Giedo as their first driver for next season.
Last season van der Garde finished seventh in his first GP2 season with the iSport International team and won races at Spa-Francorchamps, the Hungaroring and Monza. He was also the top Rookie behind champion Nico Hulkenberg. The Dutch driver is determined to win the 2010 GP2 Main Series with Barwa Addax and push for a future seat on the Formula One grid.
Giedo van der Garde: "I believe Barwa Addax Team has everything enable me to develop and get the best out of my talent. During the test I immediately felt that the team and car suited me perfectly. We have a lot of confidence moving forward and the belief we can fight for the championship!"
