What was set to be a glorious day for Meritus' Luca Filippi turned out to be entirely something else.
Not only was the Italian unable to prove his potential during the qualifying session due to a mechanical gremlin, he was later found out guilty of causing a collision with Oliver Turvey during free practice.
The Stewards have therefore decided to hand him a penalty that will see him drop five positions on the starting grid for tomorrow's feature race.
