It was a tough day for the Barwa Addax team at the Yas Marina Circuit today. First, Giedo van der Garde retired from the feature race following a big accident while Sergio Perez was subsequently found guilty of ignoring the waved yellow flags during the brief deployment of the Safety car.
As a consequence, the Mexican was handed a twenty-five second penalty which pushed him back to 12th in the race classifications and on tomorrow's starting grid.
