Super Nova Racing has announced that Jake Rosenzweig will contest the remaining two rounds of GP2 Asia in Bahrain for the team.

The 20 year old American driver is no stranger to Super Nova, after completing a successful main series test at Paul Ricard in November 2009. After a disappointing weekend in Abu Dhabi the team believe that Jake has the ability to deliver the strong points finishes needed to consolidate its position in the top three of the GP2 Asia Championship.

Jake, in only his third year of single seater racing after a very successful karting career, has already shown tremendous potential, including a podium result in his debut year of F3 Euro Series.

Jake Rozenzweig: "I'm very, very excited to have signed for a team with the pedigree of Super Nova and I am very much looking forward to driving the car this weekend in Bahrain, which will be my first experience of the GP2 race weekend format. I aim to learn quickly and be in with a chance of scoring points this weekend, enabling me to be in an even stronger position for the final race of the championship."

David Sears - Team Principal: "We are very pleased to welcome Jake into the Super Nova team. I have followed his career in Europe over the past couple of years and have been very impressed by the rate of progress that Jake has shown us. This was demonstrated when he drove our GP2 main series car last year and showed a great deal of talent, as well as a mature engineering approach. I have no doubts that once Jake has got used to the GP2 Asia car he will be fighting at the sharp end of the grid."
