The latest news from 10 Downing Street suggests that those English F1 fans concerned that the British GP clashes with the World Cup Final have nothing to fear.

Having already pointed out the 'King Midas in reverse' effect of Gordon Brown in relation to anything he comes in contact with, yesterday's news from Number 10 suggests that fans have nothing to fear, England's team is already doomed to failure.

Meanwhile, rumours that the Red Bull team is seeking legal help in preventing Brown from visiting Milton Keynes while campaigning for the election, far less giving Mark and Sebastian his best wishes, remain unconfirmed.

The British Grand Prix and the World Cup Final both take place on July 11.
