As if drivers, teams, fans and commentators don't have enough to handle on Saturday, as a controversial new qualifying format is introduced, it looks likely that rain showers will add to the fun and games.
UBIMET, which provides meteorological services to the FIA, forecasts that on Friday morning a cold front is expected with strong, possibly thundery showers. From noon there will be partly cloudy skies with a few showers.
Both sessions might take place under wet conditions, adds the Vienna-based company. A strong southwest wind will prevail and temperatures should reach about 18 degrees.
On Saturday a mix of sun and clouds is expected, with a growing chance of showers in the afternoon. Indeed, the shower risk will rise to 30 - 40 percent during qualifying, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 19 degrees.
As of today (Tuesday), the race on Sunday is expected to take place in dry conditions with temperatures reaching 21 degrees.
