Kamui Kobayashi has been handed a five position grid penalty for tomorrow's Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Japanese driver, who failed to make it through to Q2 after losing time behind Bruno Senna on his final run, subsequently aborted the lap and dived into the pits.

He then failed to heed the flashing red lights, yellow flags, notice board and gesticulations from marshals warning him to stop for weighing - a breach of Article 26 of the 2010 FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations.

Consequently he has been handed a five-place grid penalty which means the Sauber driver will start from the very back of the grid.

Initially it was thought that he ignored the request to stop for weighing because he was incensed at losing time behind Senna. However, speaking at the end of the session he said he wasn't overly concerned by the failure to improve his time and wasn't aware of the request to have his car weighed. He is now.
