Race fans in Britain, or indeed anywhere else, might want to head to Brands Hatch this Sunday (October 29), when, for just £3 - yes three quid - one lucky person will get to experience the genuine thrill of F1 power, courtesy of a ride in the Minardi F1x2.

The Kent circuit is hosting a one-day convention - called Race Car LIVE! - at which people can see (and by prior arrangement test) a wide range of cars from different national motorsport series, in order to make an informed decision about what they want to drive in 2007.

Admission to the event is free.

However, 10 golden tickets will be inserted into random programmes - costing £3 - and those 10 ticket holders will enter a draw, with one lucky winner getting a ride in the 700bhp, V10-powered, 200 mph, 2-seater, and the other 9 runners-up getting rides in the Jaguar JP1 sports car.

At the wheel of the Minardi F1x2 will be Patrick Friesacher, who contested 11 rounds of the 2005 Formula One World Championship with the Italian team, its last season in F1.

Naturally, certain conditions regarding age, height and weight will apply.

In addition to all this, there will be a 2006 World Championship winning Renault F1 car on display.
