Spain Preview - Super Nova

NEWS STORY
06/05/2010

The sixth season of the GP2 Main Series gets underway this weekend in Barcelona, as the team prepare for another fast and furious season, introducing two new rookie drivers Josef Kral and Marcus Ericsson.

Returning to the famous Circuit de Catalunya, where preseason testing was held last month, the hugely anticipated championship will commence racing as the official Formula One support series, as they in turn kick off the European leg of their campaign.

Barcelona will be the first of ten thrilling race weekends throughout 2010, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix bringing it all to a close mid-November alongside the F1 finale. This will conclude the life of the second generation car, which over the past two seasons has proved an incredible success, safely challenging every driver's strength and skill, and this year will be no exception.

Joining the grid will be five previous GP2 race winners along with ten rookies. Barcelona's mix of high and low speed corners together with its abrasive and bumpy surface will certainly make for a physically demanding opening race.

The team can not wait to get back on track...
