Watching the post-race celebrations at Red Bull, one could not help but think back to Jerez 1997... but not for the reasons you might think.

Jerez '97, if you recall, was the race where Michael Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve 'collided', an infamous incident that has gone down in F1 history. The German was out on the spot while his Canadian rival was able to continue and win the title, prompting Ron Dennis to opine that "the good guys won".

One of the longest faces that evening was Schumacher's (then) manager Willi Weber, the German said to have spent a small fortune on merchandise celebrating his driver's first title with Ferrari. Whatever became of the assorted hats and T-shirts we do not know, though Weber has since denied that he spent as much as has been claimed.

We were reminded of the incident last night, as the Red Bull team celebrated all and sundry were sporting sexy black T-shirts which bore the words "S Vettel 2010 World Champion 2010" picked out in gold. (Note to Tony Fernandes... got that Tony, black and gold!).

Now, assuming there wasn't a bloke at the back of the paddock ready to start silkscreening the moment Sebastian crossed the line, we can only assume that Red Bull came prepared and also had a whole load of "M Webber 2010 World Champion 2010" shirts ready and waiting.

Keep your eyes on Ebay for these could become collectors items, though the team will most likely resort to using them as dusters or blankets for the factory cat.

On the subject of T-shirts, it was good to see Christian Horner sporting a "Red Bull Breakfast of Champions" badge on his shirt, though most prefer 1976 world champion James Hunt's version - in every sense.

By the way, we're still hearing very strong rumours that Mark has driven his last race for the Austrian team. Keep your eyes on Kubica.
