The Cadillac F1 team has announced Tyler Epp as its first Global Head of Commercial Strategy. Epp, who served as the President of the Miami Grand Prix since 2022, will lead the Cadillac team's commercial operations globally.

"We could not have found a better leader and visionary to build out the commercial arm of our team," said Dan Towriss. "His work shaping the Miami Grand Prix into one of the marquee events on the Formula 1 calendar demonstrates his unique command of the sport domestically and worldwide."

As President of the Miami Grand Prix, Epp and Managing Partner Tom Garfinkel led South Florida Motorsports (SFM), the organization's motorsports business, and oversaw all activities at the Miami International Autodrome at Hard Rock Stadium, including the Grand Prix and the Precision Drive Club. He served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the inaugural race in May 2022.

Under Epp's leadership, the Miami Grand Prix boasted remarkable success on an accelerated timeline. In its first four years on the calendar, the event consistently drew sold-out crowds and generated four of the five largest live U.S. TV audiences in the history of Formula 1. With Epp at the helm, the Grand Prix earned an extension to 2041, making it the longest contracted event on Formula 1's calendar.

The race also earned Sports Business Journal's Best New Event honours in 2022, and, two years later, Formula 1 named SFM its Promoter of the Year.

"It requires incredible leadership to successfully build a team from the ground up, and it takes someone exceptional to execute the type of vision and ambitions we have for the Cadillac team," said team principal Graeme Lowdon. "Tyler has a proven track record of cultivating organizations that set the standard in Formula 1, and I'm confident that his operational expertise will be a critical asset to our organization."

Epp boasts more than two decades of senior management experience spanning multiple sports - including racing - prior to joining the leadership team at the Miami Grand Prix. He spent eight years with the Kansas City Chiefs, first as the team's Vice President of Business Development in 2013 and, five years later, as Executive Vice President of Business Operations. Prior to joining the Chiefs, Epp was Senior Vice President of Business Development for the San Diego Padres; General Manager of Hall of Fame Racing, a NASCAR Sprint Cup race team; Vice President of Business Development for Sports Management Network, a pre-eminent motorsports representation and consulting firm; and Director of Team Operations and Business Development at Chip Ganassi Racing.

"I've spent so much of my career in racing, and the past several years helping redefine what American motorsports can be," said Epp. "I can't think of a more exciting and promising opportunity to galvanize our sport in the United States and beyond than this one. The team is poised to become a global force in F1 that's rooted in American tradition and ingenuity, I'm incredibly proud to join this effort from the very beginning."
