Williams joins Marvel Universe in all-new comic book

NEWS STORY
29/04/2026

Williams and Marvel have announced a landmark collaboration, which will see the iconic F1 team go wheel to wheel with the Marvel Universe for the very first time.

The comic book one-shot, starring Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz, and Team Principal James Vowles, will be available for sale with special edition event-exclusive variant covers starting at the Monaco Grand Prix in early June and on shelves at comic shops across the US in October. The story will see the team come together to take on their biggest challenge yet - a battle with Doctor Doom, in the midst of the racing season. Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, and a host of other Marvel stars will also support the team on their mission.

Fans will be able to start celebrating the collaboration with pre-orders at the Williams Fan Zone in Miami, presented by Kraken, which will also feature a mural of Marvel stars, and a giant Marvel cover photo opp. Special edition variants of the comics will also be available for sale at the Silverstone, Madrid, Singapore, Austin, and Las Vegas Grands Prix.

"Alex and Carlos are already heroes to our millions of fans," said Luke Timmins, Director of Merchandise and Licensing, Atlassian Williams F1 Team, "and now they get to prove it in print by uniting with the Marvel Super Heroes to save racing from Doctor Doom. We are proud to be bringing these two universes together for the first time, and hope it gives fans another way to find and fall in love with our iconic Atlassian Williams F1 Team. There is no better place than Miami to launch a unique collaboration like this, and with special edition covers for races around the world the story is only just beginning."

Let's hope the battle with Doctor Doom will enable the Grove outfit to lose some of that that pesky 28 kgs.

"Just to say, we wouldn't normally post this or the Cadillac one referring to Terry Crews - seemingly the loudmouth who pops up on Martin Brundle's grid walks from time to time - but we thought it important for readers to see where this is all heading... and it's not good.
